Rolling Hills Spreads Respect
Rich Specht came to Rolling Hills on Friday to reinforce with primary students the importance of kindness, community, compassion and respect.
Specht told the students they all can be Respect Superheroes.
The author of, “A Little Rees Specht Cultivates Kindness” and “A Little Rees Specht Stops a Bully,” he showed the students animated versions of the books on a screen during the assembly.
He encouraged the students to be kind to their classmates and others — noting that planting seeds of kindness results in kindness growing and spreading.
They also sang the "Seeds of Kindness" song.
Rich and Sam Specht launched the ReesSpecht Life Foundation in memory of their son Rees, who passed away in 2012 from an accidental drowning.
“When you do an act of kindness, you help build that seed of kindness into a great big smile,” Specht told the students.
